Mental Health Counselor in Nashville
Rachel (she, her, they) understands that life is unique and complex. As a Biracial female (Honduran & White), she has purposefully worked to detach from oppressive narratives, and instead create empowering ones that highlight her truth. Leading with an intersectional lens, Rachel is impassioned to create a space where you feel seen and heard. In addition, she wants you to feel safe and protected when you navigate your personal and social worlds with her.
Rachel is a student intern therapist, pursuing her master’s degree with New York University. Her work is grounded in narrative and social constructionist theories. These theories enable her to understand view her clients contextually. Her goal is to find what works best for you, whether it be through CBT, Motivational therapy, Psychodynamics, or a combination of modalities.
On her time off, Rachel can be found at local coffee shops in Nashville, hanging out with her loved ones, journaling or dancing to whatever music she’s in the mood for, or traveling up North to see her family and friends.
Specialties: Ages 10 – 60 – dealing with issues of depression, anxiety, trauma, identity, and working with multiracial communities.
